I know that this is not part of our regularly scheduled blog posts- but I just had to.
I read a Refinery29 blog post this morning which covered the Alexander McQueen Benefit Gala commemorating the London opening of the retrospective Savage Beauty. McQueen, being one of the premier British fashion designers, is known for having worked as chief designer at Givenchy and then later founding his own fashion house, Alexander McQueen. McQueen died in February, 2011.
In honor of McQueen's life work, in which he embodied "a sense of irrepressible creative license and dark drama," guests attended last night's event in like-minded haute couture. Please see below for one look that is akin to a very special DRH exclusive:
How incredible is this? This gown is hailed as "one of the most dramatic McQueen looks of all time" and here we are looking this every day. We weren't embellishing. You have to see this.
